Who We Are
Our History
The New Zealand Network for Women in Security (NZNWS) was founded in 2019 by Sai Honig, Tash Bettridge, and a group of inspiring women in the security industry.
Our mission is to create a supportive and inclusive platform for women and allies working across all areas of security from cybersecurity and physical security to privacy, intelligence, and risk management.
We are committed to empowering our members through networking, mentorship, skills development, and advocacy. By fostering a connected community, we aim to break down barriers, celebrate achievements, and inspire the next generation of leaders in security.
Whether you’re an experienced professional, a student, or someone curious about the field, NZNWS offers a welcoming space to learn, collaborate, and grow. Together, we’re building a stronger, more diverse, and more resilient security industry for Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.
